At Uttarakhand Yatri, we’re excited to share our detailed day-by-day guide for your divine journey to Kedarnath. Here’s how you will make your spiritual journey successful with our carefully planned Kedarnath package from Mumbai.
Your Kedarnath tour plan begins with a morning flight to Dehradun. Our representatives will greet you at Jolly Grant Airport and drive you to Rishikesh (about 45 minutes). Spend the evening exploring the spiritual city of Rishikesh, attending the famous Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan, visiting the Beatles Ashram, or simply relaxing by the Ganges. Overnight stay at our partner hotel in Rishikesh with dinner included.
After breakfast, we start our journey to Guptkashi (about 7-8 hours). The route takes you through beautiful mountain landscapes and the holy towns of Devprayag and Rudraprayag. Reach Guptakashi by evening and check into your comfortable hotel. Use this time to acclimatize to the higher altitude and prepare for next day trek. Lunch on the way and dinner at the hotel included.
Start your day with a tasty breakfast, and then we start our journey to Sonprayag (about 1 hour). From there, a shared vehicle will be waiting for you to take to Gaurikund, the starting point of your trek. Our experienced guide will accompany you on the 16 Km trek to Kedarnath. We provide a packed lunch. Reach Kedarnath by evening and check into your comfortable lodge. A hot dinner will be served.
Wake up early for a peaceful darshan at the Kedarnath temple. Spend time exploring the temple complex and meditating. After lunch, begin your descent to Sonprayag. The downhill trek is easier and takes about 5-6 hours. Our vehicle will drive you back to Guptkashi for an overnight stay.
We begin our journey back to Rishikesh. Reach by evening and transfer to your hotel. The trip ends here. The next day our transport will drop you at Jolly Grant Airport to take a flight back to Mumbai.

The best time to visit is from May to October. The temple remains closed from November to April due to heavy snowfall. June and September are the ideal months, we recommend booking your Kedarnath package at least 2-3 months in advance during the peak season.
The Kedarnath trek is moderately difficult, covering 16 km with an altitude gain of about 4000 feet. For senior citizens, it can be a difficult trek due to steep ascents and low oxygen levels; however, you can always opt (at extra cost) for ponies or palanquins to make it easier.
Our Kedarnath tour plan includes comfortable hotels in Rishikesh and Guptkashi and basic but clean lodges in Kedarnath and Badrinath. All rooms have attached bathrooms and hot water facilities. In Kedarnath, due to the high altitude, accommodations are simple but adequate, with proper bedding and heating arrangements.
Warm clothes, comfortable shoes, rain protection, basic medicines, valid ID proof, a power bank, and a small backpack for trekking. A detailed packing list will be provided after booking.
Mobile connectivity is limited in the higher regions. Rishikesh and Gupkashi have good network coverage, but connectivity is sporadic near Kedarnath and Badrinath. Wi-fi is available in most hotels except in Kedarnath.
